Our approach to system evaluation and selection studies is guided by InvestTech’s proven Evaluation Framework and Scoring (EFS) methodology. This objective framework is designed to assist our clients in making the right systems and outsourcing decisions based on the full extent of requirements and management’s decision criteria.

Our process builds consensus because conclusions are reached jointly and backed by quantitative results. We gather meticulous requirements to ensure that the specific needs of each functional group are catalogued. Working with management, firm-wide prioritization is applied to these requirements. RFP’s are prepared and vendor responses are collected and perhaps most importantly — verified. We present the final results as a weighted ranking of vendor solutions based on the firm’s specific requirements.

Our approach is designed to canvas the entire sector of the industry rather than starting with a “short list” of usual suspects, limiting the opportunity to find unique solutions for specific business requirements. We work closely with many investment software vendors, yet remain completely independent of any marketing or revenue sharing requirements, providing a number of advantages to our clients.

  1. Since we have implemented most vendor products, we know the true capabilities of the applications so the client can be sure they know what features are truly available versus a “sales pitch”.
  2. When a client selects a particular solution, they know we will be available to actually implement and integrate the solution. Our professionals will be there to ensure they maximize the solution's capabilities in accordance with their requirements guided by a thorough project plan to minimize surprises.
  3. InvestTech maintains a strict independent approach and methodology in dealing with vendors.  At times, our clients select vendors with whom we have had little specific product experience. We consider this a sign that we are doing our job! In these situations, our clients often still request our implementation assistance based on our extensive industry knowledge and expert conversion and project management methodology.
